Canyon Wren is a small firm formed by Principle Mark Piorecky in September, 2006. The company specializes in wildlife regulatory, conservation and management issues. When multi-disciplinary products are required Canyon Wren collaborates with a variety of environmental professionals and consulting companies, allowing us to ensure that the strongest team is assembled for your project specific requirements.

His interest in threatened species and habitat selection issues has resulted in professional opportunities with numerous sensitive species (e.g. loggerhead shrike, piping plover, burrowing owl, coastal tailed-frog, etc.), and led to the completion of a masters thesis on the abundance and habitat selection of northern pygmy and barred owls in the eastern slopes of the Alberta Rocky Mountains.
